What is counselling?

Counselling is a safe, objective place where you can talk openly.

You are the most important person in the room, and I am completely invested in you.

I am a qualified, skilled therapist who is trained to listen and support. It’s my job to create a comfortable, safe environment where you can relax and share with me how you feel.

Your session can be in person, on the phone, or online, whatever is your preference.

You can have support for a few sessions or over a longer period of time, the choice is yours.

Each session is taken at your pace. The sessions are led by you, to your agenda.

If it is helpful for you, your session may include some aspects of cognitive behavioural therapy (about thought patterns) and mindfulness tools.

50-minute sessions £50 In person, online or by phone.

I am a qualified counsellor based in Rochester, Kent, with many years of experience supporting people facing extremely difficult personal challenges.

My working life has been spent supporting people from many walks of life. I have worked with homeless people and ex-offenders for most of my career which has taught me a lot about how to help people with mental health struggles, addictions and offending behaviours, as well as the trauma that is often at the core of these issues.

More recently I have managed an ADHD/autism service for families. I am especially passionate about supporting neurodivergent clients. I understand the additional and sometimes complex challenges they face on a daily basis.

I am also dedicated to supporting women through peri-menopause and mid-life changes. This is a time of life that many women (and men!) find challenging.

I have more than 26 years of experience supporting people through both front line work and management of services. I have dedicated my life to helping people feel listened to, so they feel better and live more fulfilling lives.

I really enjoy working with people of all ages and backgrounds. Everyone has their own unique story. I am waiting to hear yours.
